Ah, I see you have bought OPK strips. Hope you get it this time around! The temps look great.

Yeah… I got the happy face ones from Clear Blue. I am seriously considering getting the ClearBlue Fertility monitor, though. If only it wasn’t so expen$ive!! But before I buy another pack of the happy face ones, I’ll probably bite the bullet and get the monitor. Of course, hopefully I won’t have to do either and I’ll be knocked up this time around. Wouldn’t that be nice?

I tried to get in to see a new OB, only to find out (like two or three months ago, I mean) that nobody has any openings for new patients until may. Oh, and I ALSO found out that my old PCP decided to get married and move to the mainland. So now I have a new PCP too. I think I like me new one better, though.

So, since I have an appointment for infertility w/ the new OB in May, maybe it will be one of those things when you finally get to the doc, everything is magically fixed, right? God, I hope so.

You could always get the monitor off of ebay. Much cheaper that way. I got some pregnancy tests from ebay $20 for 100 of them. They could be in any combination that I wanted (OPK & HPT) as long as the strips equaled 100. It was a great deal.

I hope that your new Doctors find out what is up with your cycle. Maybe it will be an easy fix.

Oh, I’m definitely looking on Ebay. It’s about $50-75 cheaper on there, but still over $100 plus the $30 for the pack of 30 tests, give or take. Still, I’m paying almost $40 for a pack of 7 digital happy face OPK, so, I dunno. I’d much rather just be pregnant this time…

My sister actually got her monitor for free for participating in the Marquete University study. The OPK that I got were just the dip into strip kind. They work though and are cheap.

Hopefully you will be pregnant this time around and will not have to worry about it though. The temps look nice, but there is still no telling if you are until you get to the normal end of your cycle. I always say it’s too bad that there is not a specific symptom that you could always depend on it being pregnancy with. It’s never easy.

Ohh, I really wanted to do that study, but I think they wanted you to actually go in to the university or something like that. My mom emailed me about it.

Oh, no, nevermind. It was because we’re TTC. You have to be avoiding TTC for 12 months for the study, and also not nursing.

User_pro_offline MAPlondke wrote 16 of April, 2010 22:41

Yeah, I wanted to do it too, but seeing as Rachel still nurses every morning and before bed I was unable to join as well. My sister only got through 6 months of the study before deciding it was time to have a baby, LOL. But then she still gets to keep the monitor for free. They apparently have a good post-partem protocol (wow, say that 3x fast, LOL) too that she will be doing after the baby is born next month.

Looking good! Have any feelings about this cycle yet?

User_pro_offline saimeiyu wrote 19 of April, 2010 20:59

Eh. Not really. I took a pg test yesterday. It was neg, but all I had left was the digitals, so I don’t think it was particularly sensitive. Trying to decide whether I just want to wait a bit longer and test again w/ another digital, or if I want to go out and buy a box of FRER tests so I can test sooner. We timed it pretty good this cycle, and I’ve been using the Prometrium and it would be SUPER AWESOME if I could get pregnant THIS time and have my baby during the winter break. Especially since I’m trying to get into the nursing program, and I’d rather not have a behbeh while I’m in the MIDDLE of the semester. So if this time wasn’t it, we’ll have to wait a little while again.

It may have been too early for one of those to pick it up. I wanna say they pick up levels at around 50, but I’m not sure.

User_pro_offline saimeiyu wrote 21 of April, 2010 21:26

Yeah. Still trying to decide if I want to go out and buy more tests. Jen sent some dollar tree tests in a box for me, so I could just wait till that gets here. But that won’t be for another 3-5 days. Which totally defeats the purpose of getting the early tests, anyhow.

I am feeling crampy, though. I cramp every time I use the prometrium. Not sure if that’s indicative of anything or not. Also not sure if my temp dropped this morning because AF is coming, or because I took my temp about an hour and a half earlier than usual. Still above the coverline, though… So I dunno.

User_pro_offline MAPlondke wrote 21 of April, 2010 21:31

Probably because you took it earlier than normal. You can adjust it +.5 for every 30 min early. If you are cramping it may be AF. I hate it when all you can do it wait it out and see.

Weeell….. I guess it was just how early I got up yesterday. It’s almost… Oh, Shit. The only two days that are lower in that last part— the 17th and yesterday are days when I got up super-early. It’s triphasic! I totally have a triphasic chart.
I just took a look at all my past charts, and this one is by far the prettiest. Even on the cycles where I was using the prometrium really good… My temps by 12-14 DPO had already dropped almost down to the coverline…
Well. Anyhow, we’ll see. I am resisting the urge until tomorrow. Jen’s box should be here then. _ I’m actually feeling… hopeful…

Looking really awesome! I bet you are just dying to test!?

Any symptoms either way?

Loving my family. :)
saimeiyu

User_pro_offline saimeiyu wrote 23 of April, 2010 22:55

Yeah to the dying to test… On something other than a digital. O.o Jen’s box isn’t here yet, either. Troy says I can go get a new box of FRER today if the box doesn’t come.

As for the symptoms, no, not really. But I didn’t have anything with Cora either, though, so that means exactly squat to me.

I know what you mean, I never got anything with Rachel either. GL with testing tomorrow! Hope it’s a positive. :)
